Local zero waste expert Catherine Agopcan will teach you how taking sustainable steps can also help your wallet!  This program is part of our special Money Smart Week Programming.  

Zero Waste is "a philosophy that encourages the redesign of resource life cycles so that all products are reused. The goal is for no trash to be sent to landfills or incinerators. The process recommended is one similar to the way that resources are reused in nature." (Wikipedia)

Catherine has spent over 10 years working in IT and advertising technology (adtech). She has worked for some of the top companies implementing technology solutions related to digital marketing, product development and project management. Catherine is passionate about sustainability, minimalism and personal finance. 

She is the founder of Sisters for Financial Independence which provides resources to empower women to start owning their finances in pursuit of financial independence. The Do Something Project is dedicated to a well-lived life full of adventure and good health by following the tenets of minimalism and eco-friendly living.
