About Master Gardeners:
Rutgers Master Gardeners are trained volunteers who assist Rutgers New Jersey Agricultural Experiment Station (NJAES) Cooperative Extension in its mission to deliver horticulture programs and information to the general public. Anyone with an interest in gardening and a commitment to volunteer service can become a Rutgers Master Gardener.

Nisha Khanna is a Master Gardener with the Rutgers Agricultural Extension Service for Middlesex County. She has been gardening organically for 25 years, the last 13 in North Edison. She recently abandoned her long computer software career to pursue her horticultural interests full time.  She acquired a Certificate in Landscape Design from the County College of Morris, and has launched her own small business . She also works as an Estate Horticulturist for a private estate that contains large vegetable, fruit and flower gardens.

Nisha is especially interested in sustainable and organic gardening practices, and has lectured on pesticide free gardening and native plants. She frequently talks to community groups, and teaches workshops at the EARTH Center.
