Celebrate Black History Month! By the mid-twentieth century, A. Philip Randolph, President of the Brotherhood of Sleeping Car Porters, and Walter Reuther, President of the United Auto Workers, along with many other labor unionists, lent support and became active in the Civil Rights Movement. This virtual presentation provides a look at this history and its outcomes.

The American Labor Museum advances public understanding of the history of work, workers and the labor movement throughout the world, with special attention to the ethnicity and immigrant experience of American workers.
