Attendees will learn simple techniques of how to grow, dry, and store herbs for use all year. Attendees will also learn how to create sachets and works of art using dried flowers and other inexpensive materials.
Participants will also get the chance to see a demo of the process as well!
Presented by Rutgers Master Gardener Pat Donahue. Rutgers Master Gardeners are trained volunteers who assist Rutgers New Jersey Agricultural Experiment Station (NJAES) Cooperative Extension in its mission to deliver horticulture programs and information to the general public. Anyone with an interest in gardening and a commitment to volunteer service can become a Rutgers Master Gardener.
Rutgers Cooperative Extension of Middlesex County can be found at the E.A.R.T.H. Center, in Davidson's Mill Pond Park and is part of a nationwide network that brings the research of the state land-grant universities to local people.
